Canada’s Dinosaur Park
Walk or drive through Canada’s Dinosaur Park to see over 60 life-size animatronic dinosaurs that move and roar. As one of the only accredited reptile zoos in the country, it is home to 200 rescued reptiles including crocodiles, alligators and caimans. You can visit the dinosaur museum, participate in fossil digs, play mini-golf in a dinosaur themed golf club and more.
The park’s many features—both animal and animatronic in nature—make it fun and educational for the whole family.

Location: 2206 County Road 38, Indian River
By car: Canada’s Dinosaur Park is located off Highway 7, just east of Peterborough. Free parking is available for visitors.

This dinosaur and reptile park is open throughout the summer until early fall, every day from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Some special events may have extended hours.
Friendly dogs that are leashed are welcome.

Interesting facts about Canada’s Dinosaur Park
Established in 1998, Canada’s Dinosaur Park is the country’s only dinosaur park and reptile sanctuary. Its main priority is to protect all wildlife species of reptiles and it prides itself on being a sanctuary for abandoned and government-seized smuggled reptiles. This is why, on any given day, only a fraction of the reptile residents can be seen by the public. In order to reduce stress, the animals are rotated and given plenty of time to relax behind-the-scenes.
The life-sized, replicated animatronic dinosaurs in the dinosaur park were added to support the rescued reptiles. The star of the park is “Scotty,” the largest T-Rex ever discovered in Canada. Scotty is on display as a life-size animatronic that moves and roar.
