Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts (RHCPA) is an art and cultural facility north of Toronto in the city of Richmond Hill. Committed to artistic diversity, the RHCPA enriches and entertains local and national audiences.

With over 4,000 square metres and 631 seats in its main auditorium, the centre offers theatre, music and dance performances showcasing Canadian talent and the region’s heritage and history. The arena’s state-of-the-art acoustics enhance opera, choral and symphonic performances. The venue also hosts children’s programming, film screenings, solo performers and events.

How to get to Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts

Location: 10268 Yonge Street, Richmond Hill

By car: The RHCPA is conveniently located north of Highway 401, west of Highway 404 and east of Highway 400.

By transit: Toronto Transit (TTC) offers subway service to Finch Station. From there, the York Region Transit blue line provides bus service to Yonge Street and Crosby Avenue. The RHCPA is a seven-minute walk from the intersection.

Interesting facts about Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts

The RHCPA is the largest performing arts centre in the York Region, attracting visitors and attention from across the country and internationally.

Designed by the internationally celebrated architect Jack Diamond, the Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts was the city’s largest construction endeavour. The $30 million project took over two years to complete.

The centre combined the new building with Richmond Hill’s 19th-century high school and currently uses it for offices and an in-house coffee shop. The centre also features York Region’s highest fly tower.
