Founded in 2012 by Yvonne Brown, Ontario Woman Anglers (OWA) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to create space for women to thrive in outdoor and fishing recreation in Ontario.
OWA hosts and promotes a curated list of events and workshops for women throughout the year and across the province that focus on developing fishing, paddling, camping and other outdoor skills.
In addition to events, the OWA Master Angler is a structured program that encourages members to excel in fishing through mentorship and friendly competition.

Women’s week at Grassy Narrows Lodge

Canadian Sportswoman Society
Founded by avid outdoorswoman Lori-Anne Horst, the mission of the Canadian Sportswoman Society (CSS) is to empower women to embrace outdoor pursuits with confidence, knowledge and independence.
Throughout the year, the CSS hosts educational events, excursions and tournaments, including women-only and co-ed hunting, fishing and paddling trips.
