Windsor

Windsor

Known as “The Automotive Capital of Canada,” Windsor is famous for its connection to the original Ford Motor Company factory.

Today, the city is still a leader in the automotive industry, but it is better recognized for its casino, annual fireworks display, Bluesfest Windsor and various Christmas events including a market and Santa Claus parade.

It was also a key player in several historical events, including Prohibition and the Underground Railroad, and it is home to the Sandwich First Baptist Church and the Francois Baby House, both of which are National Historic Sites.

Also called ‘Rose City’ and ‘The City of Roses,’ Windsor is further renowned for its beautiful parks and gardens, which are nestled along its waterfront.
