Located on the southern tip of Lake Scugog, the charming town of Port Perry offers a vibrant and historic downtown, scenic countryside, easy access to swimming, boating and other water activities.
Just to the northeast of the town, the Great Blue Heron Casino & Hotel offers gaming fun and excitement on the territory of the Mississaugas of Scugog Island First Nation.
Where is Port Perry?
Port Perry is located in Ontario’s Durham Region on the southwestern shore of Lake Scugog. The town is located just up Highway 12 from Oshawa, about an hour’s drive northeast of the Greater Toronto Area.
The nearby region is most easily accessed by car and GO Transit bus service is available from the Whitby GO station. Bus service to the Blue Heron Casino & Hotel is also available throughout the year.

The Old Flame Brewery crafts German-inspired lagers in a historic building located in downtown Port Perry.

Celebrate agriculture in Durham Region at the Port Perry Fair. This annual fall fair features music, baking contests and horse-pulling contests.

Shop candies, sweets and groceries from the UK at Ye Olde Little British Sweet Shoppe, located in the quaint village of Little Britain. It’s about a 25-minute drive from Port Perry.
