Markham and Unionville

Historic Unionville is a hamlet within the larger suburban city of Markham, just north of Toronto. Visitors are drawn to the historic Main Streets lined with unique independent shops, cafes and restaurants.

Markham is also famous for being home to the Pacific Mall on Steeles Avenue East. This large mall features predominantly Asian shops and restaurants.

There are several great golf courses in the area, as well as green spaces to enjoy the outdoors such as Milne Dam Conservation Park and Toogood Pond Park.

Where are Markham and Unionville?

Markham and Unionville are located approximately 30 kilometres northeast of the old city of Toronto.

The area can be explored by car, with a number of additional public transit options. These include services by GO Transit, VIVA bus rapid transit and the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC). The nearest major airport is Toronto Pearson International Airport in the GTA.
