Blue Mountain Village

Blue Mountain Village is the heart and soul of the Blue Mountain Resort experience. Located at the foot of the Blue Mountain ski hill and within walking distance of most resort lodgings, the Village is a charming complex of cobblestone, pedestrian-only streets lined by postcard-pretty buildings in an elegant architectural design that pays homage to turn-of-the-century Victorian Ontario style.

Thanks to the dramatic topography of the Niagara Escarpment, Blue Mountain Resort is renown as one of Ontario’s top alpine ski destinations, featuring 42 runs, a dozen lifts and 3 freestyle terrains. A wide variety of condo, chalet and suite accommodations surround the mountain with convenient access to the ski bases. Beyond the slopes, mountain biking, hiking and snowshoeing trails, ziplines, rollercoaster and adventure park, luxury spas and gorgeous Georgian Bay beaches make Blue Mountain a four season playground.

In the centre of it all, Blue Mountain Village completes the experience with shopping, dining, nightlife, special events and live music. It’s the place to gather, socialize, celebrate and share.

More about Blue Mountain Village

There’s no shortage of places to stay in and around the Blue Mountain area, but if you’re looking to be right in the action, The Westin Trillium House is always a good bet. Located just across Mill Pond, it’s within easy walking distance to Blue Mountain Village and offers ski in/ski out access to the slopes. Suite sizes range from one to three bedrooms, some with full kitchenettes and fireplaces for those cozy nights in. Another great accommodation option is the two-story townhome style Mosaic Boutique Suites in the south end of the Village. A big perk here is direct access to award-winning iwa Spa.

From a freshly roasted coffee to après ski cocktail, start and end your day in the Village. And fuel up in between adventures at one of the many restaurants and eateries. Choose from comfort eats like poutine or burgers to zesty Mexican or fine Italian cuisine. In the summer, soak up the sunny weather and the chill village vibe and dine al fresco on one of the many patios. DJs, drink specials and theme nights keep Blue Mountain Village festive well into the wee hours.

Browse boutiques, galleries and gift shops or make a beeline to pick up the one piece of sportswear or equipment you forgot to bring. Shop the Village for items you need and treasure you’ll love. The Village Market is conveniently stocked with groceries, snacks and pre-made meals to grab and go.

Blue Mountain Village overlooks Mill Pond, which is actually more like a small lake in size. Navigate its waters by paddle boat or kayak in summer or glide across it on ice skates in winter. For more water-based fun, check out Plunge Aquatic Centre, an activity centre with indoor and outdoor pools, slides and hot tubs. If two wheels is more your speed, rent a cross country bike and follow the scenic Georgian Trail, a 32 km multi-use track between Meaford and Collingwood, perfect for avid cyclists. Or explore the top of the Niagara Escarpment on a Segway Tour. Get the Play all Day Pass and keep the whole family active with access to most of the Blue Mountain attractions including the Woodlot Low Ropes, the Openair Gondola and Cascade Putting Course for some mini golf fun.

In the hub of the Village is the events plaza, an outdoor public space perfect for sunrise yoga sessions or warming up cold hands around the cozy fire pit after a day on the slopes. Whimsical light festivals, parades and live entertainment mark key holidays throughout the year, while live music performances take to the outdoor bandstand stage during the summer.
