From the Georgian Bay shoreline to the limestone cliffs and scenic waterfalls of the Niagara Escarpment, the city of Owen Sound is surrounded by an abundance of natural beauty. It is located at the base of the Bruce Peninsula.

In addition to great hiking nearby, it’s close to great water activities like fishing, boating and swimming, with local beaches like Kelso Beach at Nawash Park.

The city is also known for its vibrant arts and culture scene with venues like the Roxy Theatre and Heartwood Hall, orchestras and symphonies, art galleries and festivals including the annual Festival of Northern Lights.

Where is Owen Sound?

The city of Owen Sound is located within Grey County, roughly 2.5 hours from the Greater Toronto Area.

The city and region are best explored by car or motorcycle, although regional bus service is available via the Grey Transit Route. Local transportation is provided by Owen Sound Transit. The town city is also reachable by boat via the Georgian Shores Marina.
