Storybook Gardens

Storybook Gardens is an award-winning park, receiving such accolades as “Best Tour Attraction” from the London Free Press and “Best Value, Family Attraction” from WestJet Magazine.

Start your day at the swings or carpet slide, both of which are located near the park’s entrance. From there, journey to the valley village playhouses, where kids can use their imaginations to make the village come to life. Meet characters Toad and Willow at the Wind in the Willows attraction. Brush up on your gardening skills at the herb and vegetable gardens. Stop by Jack Frost’s Ice Cream Treats for a tasty snack. Don't miss Pirate’s Island, which has a tower slide, toddler play area and giant net play zone.

Live musical performances and puppet shows are common events. Head over to the Storybook Village Stage to catch a sing-a-long or story from a professional storyteller. And if you need a break during your day, stop by the Children’s Peace Chapel or Frog Pond Lookout for some peace and relaxation. There’s also an outdoor picnic area where you may spot ducks, turtles and other wildlife.

Private groups can reserve one of two pavilions, The Windmill or the Backwoods, for birthday parties and other special occasions. You can also rent time at the skate trail, which is 250 meters wide and includes a children’s play village. Though only offered in the winter, this skating rink quickly gets reserved, so make sure to book your tickets in advance. Similarly, during the summer, head on over to the splash pad to cool down and have fun in the water.

The park loans out wheelchairs and strollers, and the outdoor walking area is paved, flat and wheelchair accessible. Storybook strives to encourage children’s literacy, interactive play and connections with nature.
