Clifton Hill

Clifton Hill is an action-packed, year-round entertainment district located one block away from the majestic falls in Niagara Falls. The street is one of the most famous spots in the city and has earned the nickname ‘Street of Fun’ for the wide variety of attractions, restaurants and accommodations. Wax museums, themed restaurants and mini golf are fun for all ages, while clubs and nightlife options are great for a night out on the town.

Explore this strip on foot, as everything is within walking distance. Parking is easy and wheelchair accessible in the large parking area conveniently located only one block from the Falls. Find the parking area across from the Vittoria Hotel and next to the Niagara SkyWheel. This parking area offers walking access to most of Clifton Hill’s attractions, restaurants, casinos and of course to the Queen Victoria Park where you can view the falls and access Niagara City Cruises.

More about Clifton Hill

With a neighbourhood slogan of ‘Fun by the Falls,’ it is easy to spend a day (or two or three) taking in all this neighbourhood has to offer.

Perhaps the most recognizable attraction in Clifton Hill is the Niagara SkyWheel, one of Canada’s largest observation wheels. Step into a climate-controlled gondola to be carried over 50 metres in the air for unparalleled views of the city. See the natural beauty of the Horseshoe and American Falls, the Niagara River, and other landmarks from the city’s best vantage point on this ten minute ride. The Skywheel operates year round, day and night.

The Niagara Speedway is North America’s largest elevated go-kart track. Hop into a Honda-powered kart that can accelerate up to a maximum speed of 32 kilometres/hour across the 600 linear metre concrete raceways. Try the four-story helical spiral, hairpin turns or gain speed on the straightaways spread out over 1.6 hectares of adrenaline-inducing track. The Speedway is a unique attraction that combines the thrill of an elevated coaster style track with traditional go-karting. Pop into the Niagara Speedway Game Zone for new and classic games when you’ve had your adrenaline fill.

A tour with Niagara City Cruises should be on your must-do list. Get up close and personal with the Horseshoe Falls on their classic Voyage to the Falls Boat Tour. Catch the illuminated cityscape and Falls in the evening with the 40-minute Falls Firework Cruise, a spectacular summer activity. A boat tour also includes a ride on the Niagara City Cruises Funicular, which drops 185 feet along the rock walls of the Niagara Gorge and provides exceptional views of the Horseshoe and American Falls.

Snap a souvenir photo next to your favourite Hollywood star at Louis Tussaud's Waxworks. With wax sculptures ranging from classic film characters like Indiana Jones to current blockbuster icons such as Ironman, you’re sure to find the perfect celebrity to snap a selfie with. Or get a pic at the Ripley's Selfie Studio next to Ripley's Believe It or Not! museum.

Fallsview Indoor Waterpark is conveniently located in Clifton Hill. Enjoy the wave pool, hot springs, waterslides or sundeck at North America’s largest indoor waterpark. Sixteen different water features, including a six-story waterslide and a 3,785-litre tipping bucket, offer a thrill for visitors of all ages. A direct connection to the Falls Avenue Resort offers easy access to three different hotels for a seamless family stay.
